Aug, 2001 : Amex Selects Intel for Web Infrastructure Services

📅 August 22, 2001 - Intel Online Services, Inc. (intelonlineservices.com)yesterday announced the American Stock Exchange (amex.com), the nation'ssecond largest floor-based exchange, has selected Intel Online to providemanaged hosting services for its trading information sites.

Intel Online Services will manage the Amex network infrastructure, includingdata backup, Web site servers and operating system software for the Amex Websites. Intel has developed customized monitoring capabilities to manage thenetwork that connects the Amex to third-party data providers who deliverreal-time financial information. The customized monitors give Intel OnlineServices immediate notification of network issues and enable Intel torespond quickly to deliver maximum network availability.
