Netopia Combines Broadband, Routing, Backup Into Single Device

The R5320XL, R7220XL, and R9120XL single-box solutionscombine the speed of broadband connectivity routedacross multiple computers and peripherals with manyindustry standard security features and backupincluded at no additional cost. These solutions aredesigned to help service providers meet the needs of"distributed enterprises," which are defined asgeographically dispersed organizations.
"The distributed enterprise market continues toexpand, with the number of mobile and remote workersforecast to be more than 55 million by 2004," said AmyHarris of IDC's broadband markets and technologiesprogram. In addition to the new single-box solutions, Netopiahas also recently announced eCare, another new productfor distributed enterprises. eCare is a web softwareplatform that enables distributed enterprises to offerlive, online support over any type of Internetconnection to both customers and their own disperselocations. Both the single box solutions and eCare arepart of Netopia's commitment to help service providersincrease their revenue by assisting distributedenterprises.
