Digital River and WebSideStory to Provide E-Com Intelligence


📅 - Digital River, Inc.(digitalriver.com), a leading global e-commerce outsource provider, and WebSideStory, Inc.(websidestory.com), a leading global provider of outsourced e-business intelligence services, yesterdayannounced a partnership designed to complement DigitalRiver's existing e-commerce reporting services.

Under the agreement, Digital River will offerWebSideStory's real-time e-business intelligenceservices to its network of more than 8,000 clients.The services will provide Digital River clients withreal-time analysis on the behavior of visitors totheir e-commerce sites.
Digital River will offer both WebSideStory's HitBoxEnterprise, designed for sites with sophisticatedneeds, and HitBox Professional, designed for small andmid-sized businesses. With HitBox, Digital River'sclients will be able to analyze detailed visitorbehavior patterns and trends in real-time, includingpinpointing where visitors come from, what paths theytake through a site, and what editorial content andproducts they view. The HitBox service requires noadditional hardware or software expense and does notdrain IT resources. The information is availablethrough any Internet connection.

Digital River's online reporting tracks e-commercemetrics, including average order size, close ratio,product-level sales and e-marketing campaign results.With the HitBox services, Digital River says itsclients will gain a more in-depth understanding of howto streamline the purchase process, improve marketingcampaigns, enhance visitor loyalty, and improvecustomer service.
