📅 October 9, 2001 - Orangatango, Inc. (orangatango.com) announces the launch of its new, private labeled VirtualBrowser service aimed at helping Internet Service Providers reduce content costs and improve user recruiting,retention, and revenues.

VirtualBrowser turns an ISP's Web site into a private labeled, web-basedbrowser offering the ISP many of the advantages enjoyed by larger ISPs,like AOL and MSN, who can afford to build and distribute their own brandedbrowsers.
Orangatango helps ISPs improve per-user revenues, enhance brand valueperception, reduce or eliminate the need for a branded portal solution, andbuild personal data relationships with their users, which enhance loyaltyfar beyond an e-mail address.

VirtualBrowser appeals to an access provider's customers because itaccelerates ISP dial-up access speeds, while offering true online privacy,enhanced security, optional content filtering, parental controls, spamprevention, and complete browser personalization and portability - withoutrequiring users to download or install any software.
