TruSecure Establishes Customer Advisory Board Robert B. Marks
📅 - Managed security firm TruSecure Corporation (trusecure.com) said today it had established a Customer Advisory Board (CAB) consisting of representatives from twelve different companies to meet on a semi-annual basis to discuss TruSecure security offerings and current security concerns. The company also offered details of the Board's latest meeting.
TrueSecure's latest CAB meeting involved representatives from companies such as First American CREDCO, Discover Financial Services, and several other organizations.
Many of the companies approved of the idea. Audry Benbrook, Vice President of IT Security and Control for American CREDCO, heralded the idea as an excellent avenue to voice concerns.
"The TruSecure Customer Advisory Board is an aggressive and creative wayfor our company to offer constructive feedback on how TruSecure's program is performing," Benbrook said.
The CAB was originally created to be an informal, invitation-only forum for the security executives of TruSecure's customers to discuss security issues, concerns, and practices. The most recent meeting, held in October, revolved around feedback for TruSecure's latest offering, TruSecure 2001.
Adam Joseph, CEO and president of TruSecure, said that this was an important move, as it is now vital for IT security companies to better understand the needs and challenges of their customers.
"We view ourselves as an extension of our customer's internal security team, and through this close relationship receive their feedback on an ongoing basis," Joseph said. "It is critical, however, to periodically step back from the day-to-day security processes to get a high-level view of the results we have achieved and the goals we have yet to reach."
