Dec, 2001 : Alcan Selects OptiGlobe to Host Infrastructure

📅 December 13, 2001 - OptiGlobe (optiglobe.com), a Latin American provider of web-enabled IT outsourcing and data center services, has announced that it has been selected by Alcan (alcan.com), the aluminum and packagingcompany, to host and manage the infrastructure for several of its core backoffice applications. These applications include Alcan's data warehouse, ERPsystem, financial applications and production control systems.

After evaluating Alcan's business needs, OptiGlobe designed a solution thatincluded infrastructure, connectivity, managed and professional services.These services include dedicated hosting, private links to, and remotemonitoring from, Alcan's five Brazilian offices; managed database services,and consulting.
