(mmfn.com), a provider ofdigital communications infrastructure solutions, has successfullytransitioned TheMuniCenter's (municenter.com) Internet site to an MFN data center and its Site Operations Platform (SOP), a full Internetinfrastructure managed services solution. The B2B marketplace for municipalsecurities made this transition using MFN's SiteMove solution.
TheMuniCenter, owned by a group of investors that includes several of thelargest players in the municipal-bond market, including Merrill Lynch & Co.,Salomon Smith Barney, and Morgan Stanley, allows broker-dealers andinstitutional investors to buy and sell municipal bonds online. The companyselected MFN to solve the complex problem of switching to a new data centerand to work with its internal IT team to create and maintain its Internetpresence.
MFN's SOP allows companies to automatically add bandwidth and services astheir Internet sites grow. To meet the needs of companies that have alreadyinvested in building their own Internet infrastructure, MFN's SOP can betailored to include existing hardware while still offering a 100 percentSLA, the company said. Alternatively, SOP can be a used as a completeoutsourced solution by providing hardware, software, co-location, bandwidthand ongoing management and services.
