Interliant to Provide Dallas Independent School District With Oracle Services

📅 March 25, 2002 - Managed infrastructure and ASP firm Interliant (interliant.com) said Monday that the Dallas Independent School District (DISD) has selected Interliant's Oracle Professional Services group to assist in the integration of its existing Oracle business applications with its new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. Interliant said it had also been chosen to provide technical assistance related to the school district's Oracle Release 11i Applications implementation.

Interliant said it was selected by the DISD because of its experience with public sector and school districts. The company will provide Oracle consulting services for data conversion, programming, documentation, and the development of forms and reports in support of DISD's implementation of a new ERP system. Interliant said the new system will streamline the DSID's business processes, reduce operational costs, increase employee access to resources and provide improved reporting intelligence to management. The system also includes financial, human resources, and payroll applications that must interface with other existing programs to receive and feed important data.
"We are one of a very few professional services organizations that has a group totally focused on the latest Oracle public sector applications," said Kathy Blanck, VP Oracle Solutions for Interliant. "This focus enables us to deliver DISD and similar organizations with critical government and 'best practices' expertise."
The DISD has more than 19,000 employees and oversees more nearly 164,000 students in 218 schools.
