📅 April 4, 2002 - Dotster Inc. (dotster.com ), a leading ICANN accredited domain name registrar, announced on Wednesday the launch of HostLane (hostlane.com -> dotster.com), a full-featured Web hosting service specializing in shared and managed hosting plans.

"Domain names and Web hosting go hand in hand. For more than two years, Dotster has excelled at registering domains for hundreds of thousands of customers, and we're very excited to finally introduce our own Web hosting solution, HostLane, to complete our circle of product offerings," says Clint Page, president of Dotster. HostLane, says Dotster, is dedicated to providing competitively priced hosting plans, top-of-the-line features and services and superior customer support. The site offers five different hosting plans, ranging from simple to full-featured.
The plans range from Starter Circle, which provides basic hosting for $8.95 per month, to Platinum Place, a full-featured plan for $69.95 per month. Packages vary by storage, bandwidth, email addresses and site management tools.
And HostLane's relationship with Dotster, says the company, allows it to ensure that domain registrations and transfers are performed quickly and easily.
Hosting accounts with HostLane, says Dotster, are easily managed through Website OS, HostLane's online control panel.
