Apr, 2002 : Sitestar's ISPs Increase Coverage by 50 Percent

📅 April 5, 2002 - Technology investment company Sitestar Corporation (sitestar.com) announced on Friday that its ISP divisions have significantly expanded their coverage areas, increasing their geographic footprint in Virginia and North Carolina by nearly 50 percent.

A publicly held investment company that acquires and invests in emerging technology-based enterprises, particularly small Internet service providers, Sitestar's ISP businesses provide narrow and broadband Internet access, electronic infrastructure development, Web hosting and design services and other technology solutions.
The company's wholly owned subsidiaries include Sitestar.net, Sitestar Applied Technologies, Lynchburg.net, Computers By Design and Advanced Internet Services.
"This expansion effort marks the latest accomplishment of our team to expand our marketplace and fuel our internal growth," says Clinton J. Sallee, president and CEO of Sitestar Corporation. "In addition to our acquisition efforts, we are committed to strategic internal growth throughout our markets in Virginia and North Carolina."
Sitestar says that as the company grows, it intends to continue expanding its local coverage, focusing on the markets in which it already has a presence, and adding new ones on an opportunistic basis.
