📅 - VERITAS Software Corporation today announced the first complete and integrated storage management solution set for the Microsoft Windows 2000 server platform. Providing storage virtualization, zero-downtime backup, high availability, and data center migration for disaster recovery, the portfolio of products includes VERITAS Software's technologies.
Managing storage infrastructure independent of hardware, these products join VERITAS Software's backup and recovery support for Windows environments. As part of a productive technology relationship kindled in the 1990s, Microsoft and VERITAS (veritas.com) have collaborated to create technology components shipping with Windows 2000. ?In order for Windows-based servers to continue to show strong growth in enterprise-caliber IT departments, they will absolutely require improved management, disaster tolerance/recovery, and overall availability,? said Steve Duplessie, president and senior analyst, Enterprise Storage Group.
