📅 April 24, 2002 - Managed hosting firm Conxion (conxion.com) said yesterday it had appointed Jeffrey Young as Vice President of Technology Development. Conxion said Young will be responsible for directing the design and implementation of the company's network-based digital delivery services.

Prior to joining Conxion, Young was Vice President of Network Engineering at Cable &Wireless, a global communications firm. He was also a senior manager of Internet backbone engineering for MCI.
Young earned a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from MarquetteUniversity, where he specialized in biomedical engineering, and is an active member of the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF).
"Jeff brings an excellent engineering mind to this position, and he knows the market we are addressing inside and out," said Antonio Salerno, Conxion's Chairman and CEO. "It is unusual to find a combination of deep technical ability, extensive industry experience and business savvy, and we are pleased to have him on board."
Privately-held Conxion was founded in 1995 and currently maintains seven data centers in North America and Europe.

(kpnqwest.com) said yesterday it would review its 2002 financial guidance in light of deteriorating market conditions.
