Telcos Increase Profits By Implementing Next Generation Networks

A recent economic analysis, based on the methods and research of the GartnerGroup research house confirms that telecommunication carriers using Siemens' "next generation network" solutions can cut their operating costs by up to two-thirds, increase revenues by some 20 per cent and markedly improve their net cash figure.
The study, which employed the methods and research of the Gartner Group to calculate the benefits of the Siemens "next generation network" solutions for various carrier business models, showed that users could expect faster amortization, improved cash flow and increased sales from replacement of older switching and IP technologies.
Next generation networks include new varations of IP Centrex services, call control, xDSL and Ethernet WAN services. Next generation networking services also includes comprehensive IP routing.
