May, 2002 : Loudcloud Partners for GSA Schedule Access

loudcloud.com logo📅 - Managed service provider Loudcloud Inc. (Loudcloud.com) announced on Wednesday that it has formed a strategic partnership with government solutions partner DLT Solutions Inc. (dlt.com), enabling federal, state and local government agencies to purchase Loudcloud's e-business managed services through the General Services Administration (GSA) Schedule held by DLT.

As one of the most widely accepted contract vehicles for federal, state and local government agencies, as well as contractors to those agencies, says Loudcloud, the GSA Schedule is among the most efficient ways to procure products within the government.
Loudcloud says its solution provides complete lifecycle management of a customer's e-business infrastructure, addressing three specific service areas with its Deployment and Launch Services, Application and Infrastructure Services and Client Services. By selecting options from each area, customers can build a customized outsourced solution to meet their particular needs.
The partnership, says the company, will allow Loudcloud to offer its e-business infrastructure services to the government through DLT's dedicated government representatives. They will work with Loudcloud's existing government representatives to effectively sell and market the company's services to agencies and departments through the GSA Schedule.
"Many government agencies have already successfully worked with Loudcloud to manage their e-business infrastructure," says Ben Horowitz, CEO and president of Loudcloud. "Now that these services have been added to the GSA Schedule through our partnership with DLT Solutions, other government agencies will have the opportunity to realize the same benefits."
Loudcloud says the underpinning for its managed services is its Opsware automation technology, designed to give customers greater quality, visibility and control over their Web infrastructure while lowering costs.
"Through its e-Government initiative, the U.S. government is looking to improve its communications and increase the number of services offered to its citizens," said Craig Abod, president of DLT Solutions. "Loudcloud's software will give federal, state and local government agencies the flexibility and quality it needs to fulfill its e-Government plans."
