Jun, 2002 : Tier 1 Re-Launches Sector Information Exchange

📅 June 19, 2002 - Specialized Internet infrastructure research and consulting firm Tier 1 Research (tier1research.com) announced on Wednesday that it has re-launched the Sector Information eXchange located at the company's Web site.

The site, says Tier 1, provides subscribers with access to a collection of informational databases that have proven useful to vendors, investors and enterprise IT departments. The password-protected site includes the results of two years? analytical commentary, nearly 1,000 data centers, 8,000 enterprise applications, vendor Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats (SWOT) data and more.
The publicly accessible site, says Tier 1, has also undergone enhancements, including the addition of an e-commerce store, a discussion board, a stock ticker and teaser commentary from the firm's widely read daily newsletter.
The enhancements to the private site include an article search, a data center search, a customer application search, a financial/operational statistic search, SWOT comparison, an industry address book, a discussion board and a conference call search.
"The redesigned site was developed with one goal in mind: to satisfy our clients' ever-changing needs for cutting-edge information," says Andrew Schroepfer, president and founder of Tier 1 Research. "Mike Sowada and the design team at DKS Systems did an excellent job in turning our vision into reality with Tier1Research.com, which is now hosted with Texas-based Rackspace Managed Hosting. The DKS team will continue developing a Web-based job portal for positions in the industry as well as a vendor services search tool to further the capabilities of the portal."
