📅 August 2, 2002 - Web host service provider Interland, Inc. (Interland.com ) has appointed John M. Harper as senior vice president of operations.

Harper brings more than 16 years of leadership and management experience with leading technology companies, including serving as chief technology officer for Verado Holdings, as vice president of engineering for Exodus, and as chief technology officer for Genuity.
Harper will report directly to Interland's chairman and chief executive officer, and will be responsible for overseeing the company's operations, information technology and technical support departments, and for continuing the company's data center consolidation and integration efforts.
"With Interland now the largest Web hosting provider in the world - with ambitious plans to continue to expand both our market leadership and our efficiency and service leadership -- it was clear to us that we needed some real firepower in our top technology position," said Interland CEO Joel J. Kocher. "John is a heavy-hitter, not only as a technologist, but also as a leader and innovator. He will be responsible for developing the products, platforms, systems and processes that will support Interland's strategic growth initiatives. We're very pleased to have him on board."
