Nov, 2002 : SANS Prepares Perimeter Security Webcast

📅 - Internet security information organization SANS (sans.org) announced on Friday that it has released the lineup for its November 6 "Wednesday Webcast" presentation, entitled "Can't Boil an Egg Without a Shell - Why Web Perimeter Security is a Necessary Step to a Secure Site."

SANS says Web sites are often a main target of network-based attacks against an organization, making perimeter security to protect Web servers a major concern.
Opportunities to enhance perimeter security have been evolving, says SANS. Along with basic security precautions, Web site security may now involve the use of application firewalls, system call monitoring and content monitoring programs. And each of these solutions, says SANS, should be evaluated to determine how best to fit them into any environment.
Webcast viewers are able to listen live and ask questions, and may listen tot the webcast again later through the organization's archive.
