Nov 14, 2002 : ModernBill Version 4 Released
📅 - Web hosting firm and software developer ModernGigabyte LLC (moderngigabyte.com) announced on Tuesday that it has released version 4 of its popular ModernBill software.
ModernBill is a Web-based automated billing system marketed by the company to the Web hosting industry. Version 4, says ModernGigabyte, introduces a range of new features as well as improvements on the product's core logic.
With each new ModernBill version, says ModernGigabyte, the company has added new features, building on the software's main functions of creating and administering customer accounts; invoicing, charging and collecting payment; and reconciling and tracking income. Added features have included the addition of a dashboard feature for easier system viewing; a to-do list; and new gateways for collecting funds.
The significant upgrades in version 4 include significant enhancements to the look and feel of the software; integration support for major server provisioning platforms like Plesk, Cpanel and Ensim; and support for many new gateways and registrars. The changes to the program's core logic include the addition of a new API, which allows for integration among the program's various parts, and better compatibility with third-party software.
