📅 December 10, 2002 - Web hosting provider WebSiteSource (WebSiteSource.com ) announced this week that all of its standard hosting plans now include the Miva Merchant e-commerce software, with no increase to the cost of its accounts.

Even the company's $19.95 per month "Basic" plan now includes the storefront software with the previous list of features, which includes 200 Mbs of storage, 6 Gigs of transfer and unlimited email accounts.
Before adding the software to all its accounts, says WebSiteSource, the company had been offering the software only with its high-end hosting plans. The positive response among merchants and developers to the software, was a big part of the decision to make Miva Merchant available to all the company's customers.
"It's easy for first-time online merchants, yet powerful enough for experienced programmers," says S. Rosendahl, CEO of WebSiteSource. "Along with Miva Merchant, we also include SSL with all hosting accounts. And, for clients that need a merchant account, we have teamed with PayQuake to provide merchants with a no setup fee, no monthly fee merchant account that includes a payment gateway account with Authorize.net."
