Apr, 2003 : Equinix to deliver LIFFE CONNECT Services

📅 April 1, 2003 - Equinix, Inc. (equinix.com), a provider of network-neutral data centers and Internet exchange services, today announced that Euronext.liffe has chosen Equinix to deliver the financial exchange company's LIFFE CONNECT (liffe.com) electronic trading platform service.

As a part of the agreement, Euronext.liffe has established operations within Equinix Internet Business Exchange (IBX) centers in the greater Chicago and New York areas, with possible future expansion to additional centers.

By locating within Equinix's Internet hubs, the company says, Euronext.liffe can interconnect with a critical mass of strategic networking companies within the same facility, greatly enhancing the scalability of its service while reducing the costs of delivering a service to these strategic partners in multiple, disparate locations and over long distances.
With more than 100 networks operating out of Equinix's IBX centers, Euronext.liffe can directly interconnect with the providers that serve more than 90 per cent of the world's Internet networks and users for their critical peering, transit and traffic exchange requirements.
