WebCentral to Provide Managed Services to Australian Schools

📅 April 1, 2003 - WebCentral (webcentral.com.au) has signed a $16.4 million (AUS) contract to provide managed Internet services to all the Australian state of Queensland's public schools.

The contract, signed with Education Queensland, encompasses Web hosting, Web access and domain name management.
WebCentral is one of the largest web hosting companies in the Asia Pacific region, offering shared, dedicated and enterprise-grade solutions. WebCentral currently hosts more than 50,000 sites and domains for corporations, government organisations and small and medium businesses. For the financial year ended 30 June 2002, WebCentral recorded annual revenues of $22 million (AUS), representing a 30 per cent increase over the previous year.
