📅 June 19, 2003 - Interland (interland.com ) announced yesterday that it has teamed up with Google (google.com) to launch a new program designed to help small and medium-sized businesses (SMB) increase their visibility online and better market their products and services.

Under the new program, Interland customers who sign up for the Business Solutions package will receive $50 worth of free Google Adwords advertising. In addition to the promotional offer, the package comes with Web hosting services, site-building tools and services, marketing solutions, e-mail, and 24/7 customer support.
Google Adwords is a pay-per-click advertising system that enables advertisers to create and place advertisements on Google search result pages. The ads appear when selected keywords are entered into the Google search engine and paid for on a per click basis.
"A business's Web site is only as good as the number of visitors it receives each day," said Don Bulens, senior vice president of Interland. "Interland is committed to helping our customers increase online visibility and stand out in a crowded marketplace. To further support our customers, Interland has teamed with Google to drive the most qualified traffic to their Web sites."
According to Interland, the impetus behind the new program was businesses expressing the need for marketing services that could help them increase their visiblity online.
"Interland is helping its SMB customers succeed online by providing access to a cost-effective results-driven marketing tool - Google AdWords," said Jonathan Rosenberg, vice president, product management for Google. "By offering a free trial of Google AdWords in its Business Solutions package, Interland has made it easy for businesses to drive qualified leads to their Web sites."
Interland is an Atlanta-based Web hosting provider focused on the SME market. Google is a privately held company focused on search services.
