📅 August 7, 2003 - Radware (radware.com) announced yesterday that C-SPAN has implemented Radware's Web Server Director (WSD) application switch to help it deliver live-on demand Webcasts of congressional proceedings on C-SPAN.org.

According to Radware, WSD eliminates bottlenecks, failures and downtime from enterprise servers for the fault tolerant operation of all IP applications.
"Our users demand timely and reliable access to information, 24x7, and as a result, we require a solution that eliminates slow processing and faulty transactions," said Tim Rexroad, information systems manager at C-SPAN. "Radware's WSD Application Switch meets these needs, guaranteeing the availability of our IP applications, Web servers and application servers for complete service resilience."
C-SPAN.org delivers public affairs programming 24 hours a day in a variety of formats.
"C-SPAN delivers multiple types of streaming flows from their site, and only Radware was able to provide the superior performance, scalability and flexibility they needed," said Vik Desai, chief operating officer at Radware.
