👈 Official Responses: 0) has acquired Dedicated Hosting (dedicatedhosting.com.au -> serversaustralia.com.au), an Australian Web hosting, colocation and managed services provider with a customer base of over 1,000, according a report published by Australian Reseller News.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
According to the report, Michael Farrell, general manager for Hostway in Australia, said the two acquisitions have given the company's Australian operation enough capacity to migrate Australian customers hosted in U.S. facilities back to Australia.
The merger is Hostway's second Australian acquisition this month. In early September, the company acquired the dedicated server business and other assets of GlobalHost (globalhost.com.au), a company with no association to the American company of the same name.
GlobalHost recently sold its virtal hosting business to Destra (destra.com -> hostinger.com) subsidiary OzHosting.com (ozhosting.com 👉 Total Reviews: 3

Looking forward, Farrell told Australian Reseller News he expects the company to continue on the mergers and acquisitions front. "The Australian hosting market is ripe for consolidation," Farrell said. "When we came to Australia, we could not justify the cost of building a facility because it is still a buyer's market when it comes to data center space."
Hostway entered the Australian hosting market in April of this year with an eye towards acquisitions.
