Richard Kirkendall CEO From Namecheap Continues To Make Money Illegally From SPAMMERS!
Over a year and 66 SPAM COMPLAINTS made to this company and all about one SPAMMER. Yes, one SPAMMER that this SPAM LOVING Company continues to make money from (at my expense). You can take a look at some other reviews to get the details below:

I can tell you it takes many, many emails to get a response from these people. I have found though that they are rather quick to answer after posting a review about their SPAM GENERATING PLATFORM.
So after a year and 65 SPAM COMPLAINTS, I finally got an email from them on the 27th October stating that their SPAMMER had until 1st November (in accordance with the (CAN-SPAM Act 2003) to STOP SPAMMING its scam products. I hasten to add I never signed up to this SPAM LIST and have UNSUBSCRIBED MULTIPLE TIMES but hey that’s why they are SPAMMERS, [read more...]

😠 It feels like the the client support have a hidden agenda. They mainly seem to be Ukrainian - Hostgator is mainly Filipino I believe from nine years with them (they're terrible, but have never been fraudulent in the way Namecheap seem to be).

😠 One of our domains was stolen and they are doing their best to prevent us from reporting it in full to the authorities. Not only that, as a consequence for reporting the crime to the support, all our domains were frozen.
We must get our main domain back but they would not even answer to our emails when it comes to that. We tried to escalate to a higher level, but as you can imagine, we are bounced back to the same support agents who are causing the problem.
They are supposedly conducting an investigation, asking the same questions over and over but not reading the answers; we are trapped in a loop of carelessness.
In the meantime, we are still paying for a service they are not providing and preventing us from taking our business elsewhere.

Namecheap is no longer just a domain registrar. They have expanded into a broad online services platform that covers most of the core needs of individuals, freelancers, startups, and small-to-medium businesses in one place. The company was founded in 2000, is headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona, and has grown into one of the most recognizable names in the low-cost domain and hosting market. Their ecosystem includes domains, shared hosting, EasyWP managed WordPress, reseller hosting, VPS, dedicated servers, Private Email, SSL certificates, PremiumDNS, Supersonic CDN, and Site Maker, which makes the platform especially convenient for customers who want to manage everything from one account.
The hosting range is broad enough to cover both simple and more advanced workloads. Shared Hosting starts with the Stellar line for small websites and normal business use, while Stellar Business moves into stronger resources for heavier traffic and more demanding projects. EasyWP is their simplified managed WordPress environment, designed for users who want WordPress without dealing with the usual server-side complexity. Reseller Hosting is aimed at agencies and small hosting businesses, while VPS and Dedicated Servers provide the next step for users who need root access, more isolation, and higher performance. Around that, the combination of Private Email, SSL, CDN, and Site Maker gives Namecheap a very complete commercial package. The website is mainly in English, while storefront pricing can be viewed in USD, EUR, GBP, CAD, AUD, INR, and CNY, although billing is still centered around USD.
💰 Price & Cost
Namecheap remains very competitive at the entry level, especially for first-term purchases. Their Shared Hosting plans are positioned around $4.88/mo for Stellar, $6.88/mo for Stellar Plus, and $9.88/mo for Stellar Business on longer billing cycles. EasyWP Starter begins with a free first month and later renews at $9.88/mo, while Turbo is shown at a discounted $13.88/mo before moving to $18.88/mo on renewal. VPS starts from $3.88/mo on annual billing, Reseller Hosting begins at $19.88/mo, and Dedicated Servers start around the mid-$40/mo range depending on the server and billing term. Private Email Starter is listed at $14.88/year, while entry SSL certificates begin from $5.99/year. Their domain pricing is also aggressive, with .com regularly positioned at an attractive first-year rate, though renewal pricing is noticeably higher.
The refund structure is better than many budget-oriented competitors, but it is not identical across all services. Shared Hosting, Reseller Hosting, and VPS new purchases are backed by a 30-day money-back guarantee for first-time hosting accounts. Dedicated Servers have a shorter 1-week refund window from delivery for first-time orders, excluding software licenses. Domains are mostly non-refundable, although a limited number of fresh registrations may be cancelled within a short time frame in specific cases. SSL certificates have their own cancellation terms, while PremiumDNS includes a shorter refund period. Payment coverage is broad, with support for credit/debit cards, PayPal, and cryptocurrency, while their legal terms also allow additional methods such as electronic checks and, where applicable, wire transfer. The pricing is attractive, but buyers should always pay attention to renewals and optional add-ons before assuming the long-term cost will match the entry price.
🏢 Data Center
Namecheap has a wider geographic footprint than many low-cost retail hosting brands, although they do not operate like a highly transparent datacenter-first infrastructure company. Their public information points to Phoenix, Arizona as the main location for Shared Hosting, Reseller Hosting, Private Email, VPS, and Dedicated Servers, with Amsterdam available for European shared hosting, Singapore for Asian shared hosting, and Farnborough, United Kingdom for UK-based placement. This gives customers some useful regional flexibility for standard hosting services. Their Dedicated Servers, however, remain concentrated in the USA, particularly in Phoenix, so that part of the platform is not as geographically diverse as the shared side.
On the hardware side, the shared platform references Dell and Supermicro servers powered by Intel Xeon processors, with 256 GB RAM and RAID6 SSD storage, while other infrastructure notes mention Dell PowerEdge M1000e systems and SAN-backed architecture. The reseller environment also references a Juniper/CISCO network, which is one of the rare places where they provide some direct network detail. Their uptime commitments are strong on paper: Shared Hosting, Business Hosting, and most Dedicated Servers are covered by a 100% monthly uptime guarantee, while Reseller Hosting and VPS are covered by a 99.9% monthly guarantee.
Based on WHTop research Namecheap some used datacenters are:
United States (Main Location): The primary datacenter is PhoenixNAP located in Phoenix, Arizona. It hosts the majority of their infrastructure, including shared, reseller, VPS, and dedicated servers.
United Kingdom: Servers are located in the Datum Datacenter in Farnborough (previously Nottingham).
✍️ Customer Support
Customer support is one of the stronger parts of the Namecheap platform, but the support model is clearly built around online channels rather than traditional phone-based service. They provide 24/7 live chat, 24/7 ticket support, and 24/7 email support, with dedicated email contacts and routing for domains, hosting, SSL, billing, Private Email, EasyWP, CDN, abuse, and other departments. For a large retail-focused provider, that gives them a reasonably complete support structure, and the documentation also indicates that email responses are often delivered quickly, commonly within a couple of hours depending on the issue.
The main weakness is that phone support is not available. That is not a major issue for many modern buyers who are already used to chat and ticket systems, but it can still matter for business customers who expect a direct phone line during urgent account or billing problems. The knowledgebase is extensive and covers a wide range of products, so self-service help is solid, but the general support experience is firmly centered on chat, email, and ticket workflows rather than telephone assistance.
🔨 Control Panel
The control-panel setup is flexible and fits the product range well. Shared Hosting runs on cPanel, which is still the most familiar environment for mainstream hosting users and covers the normal tasks such as files, databases, email, domains, backups, and application handling. Reseller Hosting adds WHM on top of cPanel, which is the expected approach for agencies and resellers that need account management and white-label administration. EasyWP follows a different direction and uses its own WordPress-focused dashboard, which is a better fit for users who only want to manage WordPress without touching traditional shared-hosting controls.
For more advanced services, VPS plans include full root access, operating system choice, and optional use of panels such as cPanel or Webuzo on supported configurations. The VPS range also separates management into User-Responsible, Basic, and Complete levels, which gives customers a choice between self-managed infrastructure and more hands-on operational help. Dedicated Servers follow the same general logic, with optional control-panel add-ons available depending on the server build. Site Maker sits outside the normal hosting-panel structure and works more like an all-in-one builder environment with hosting and SSL already included. Overall, the control-panel side is broad enough to accommodate beginners, resellers, and more advanced server users without forcing everyone into the same interface.
🎯 Conclusion
Namecheap is easiest to recommend to customers who want a broad service catalog, low entry pricing, and the convenience of managing domains, hosting, email, and security in one account. Their biggest strengths are the wide product mix, attractive introductory pricing, useful surrounding services such as Private Email, SSL, CDN, and Site Maker, and a support structure that remains available around the clock through digital channels. The shared-hosting platform also benefits from more regional choice than many similarly priced competitors. The weaker areas are also clear. Renewal pricing is higher than the initial promotions, phone support is missing, Dedicated Servers are still largely USA-based, and the infrastructure disclosures do not go deeply into network or carrier transparency. That means Namecheap works very well for domains, smaller hosting projects, beginner-to-intermediate WordPress use, and entry-level reseller needs, but it is less convincing for buyers who expect premium enterprise-style infrastructure transparency or direct phone-based support. For mainstream web hosting customers, though, they remain one of the more practical and complete low-cost platforms in the market.

😞 I had email problems which could not get resolved. Their support said that people were spamming from my shared server, so my outbound emails were delayed 18 hours, or not sent out at all.
Customer service was slow and did not resolve my problem.
On the plus side, they are hosting on SSDs so server responses are fast. If you are going to use them, have your mail server hosted somewhere else.

😉 After more than 3 years with Namecheap the only descriptive words about their service, professionalism, trust, and treatment of their clients are:
Terrible and horrible, disrespectful of clients and untrustworthy,
In short: UNSUSTAINABLE!!! I recommend: Be Careful! This is especially due to the tremendous waste of time in over 8 months. 😠 Namecheap screwed us over royally. We decided to transfer our hosting from AWS to namecheap but before we did it we emailed them telling them do not: 1. crash the site 2. do not make it live till everything was working. The nightmare starts there.
Bear in mind we have an investor meeting with a major silicon valley VC firm in 2 days. We also have over 400 customers. I continue...
At 4am (almost 2 days after the "migration" started by them) they told us it was all done thanks for choosing namecheap. It wasn't done. Not even close. SSL wasn't there, URLs were all wrong, our dashboard wasn't appearing. So I started chatting with them. At 12pm nothing was fixed. Even after 3 chats and them telling me it was done.
At noon - they fixed our SSL. 1 hour later, it was gone again. All our internal URLs were broken and they told me "its ok, its just because the domain is still catching up, it will only take 2 more hours." At 5pm nothing was better and I was getting tired after all I [read more...]

😠 The whole incident illustrated:
1. How poor at communication your team is.
2. How broken your backend systems are
Your system clearly showed a domain as available for registration, so I attempted to do so. For over 24 hours it sat in processing - despite having successfully billed my credit card. I reached out trying to get clarification, and got no response.
The registration then was canceled, but without any explanation or contact from you. Not knowing why, I simply registered again. This second registration was then canceled. I finally was able to get in contact with someone, but they seemed more concerned with explaining why this happened than empathizing with how poor of a customer experience this is.
I understand that you cannot sell a domain that is not available. I get that. But, what I do NOT get is why your system seems to not have any idea what domains are available or not. This leaves me with zero confidence that even something as simple as renewing my [read more...]

Once again - Namecheap hosting service is not worth your time or money - just DO NOT use this crap
I have used and also currently using several hosting companies, experience with the Namecheap is worst of all. I use reseller plan and host 6 websites.

😠 Worst Hosting Company Ever. Decent registrar
Namecheap's hosting services are the worst I've experienced in 15 years. Their email hosting is just CONSTANTLY down, or essentially incapacitated even when "up" do to runaway server scripting that they fail to deal with on a continous basis. I'm giving up and switching, even with remaining paid for subscription time. THIS IS THE WORST level of support. Virtually anyone can do better. Absolutely constantly down. Awful, Awful, Awful. DROP bad dead awful.
In comparison, the company does just fine as a registrar and nameserver for domain name registration and name service. But their hosting is just piss poor bad.

😠 Namecheap has locked several of my accounts with the catch phrase 'we detected fraud'. When I asked then what the fraud was, they said 'none of your business, just send us your scanned passport'.
I have since started moving all my domains (about 125 of them) from different Namecheap accounts, as they expire, to another registrar.
If you decide to use Namecheap, be aware that they lock accounts randomly for no reason at all, just to get your ID. I don't know why, but this is their methods. I believe they get brownie points from government agencies for volunteering information to them. Same like Paypal and Google does.
Their random 'account locking' algorithm is only one step above Paypals'.
When they lock your account, sometime in the future, for no reason at all, just to get your id, you will member this post!

😠 namecheap.com are thiefs
The bad story for me started last month, on 4 august i succesfully transferred my domain (eg: www.s-article.com) from some registrar to namecheap.com (did this so i can manage the dns servers from there). I've also buyed hosting package from namecheap.com and for a time things went fine. Some weeks later i decided to upgrade my hosting account to a VPS and after i had several talks with namecheap.com support team i've made the order. Things didn't happened as we discussed and my site went down so i decided to move it to another hosting and since i wasn't able to use the VPS from namecheap.com at all, due to their technical problems, so i requested my money back.
From this point things started to be very ugly, short story is that i received my money back but namecheap.com banned my account and also removed the dns servers which i've set for s-article.com and the very bad part namecheap.com simple changed the owner of my domain and is not me anymore is them. I never gave them the [read more...]

😃 NameCheap is a Great Service
I've seen quite a few negative reviews of NameCheap around the Internet, so I just wanted to leave my mark here and tell you what I think of it.
I've been using NameCheap as a domain manager for almost two years now. In addition, they've been my exclusive web host for the past year, and it's been great.
I currently employ their Pro package for hosting a number of websites, ranging in traffic, and have never had issues with disk space or bandwidth due to their high limits. In addition, I have not experienced any notable downtime (outside of some temporary maintenance) in the year that I've been a customer.

😠 I've been with Luckyregister for over 3 years and Godaddy served me well. I just wanted to give it a shot with NameCheap.com. Long story short. I registered 2 domains with them. next day found out something about trademark problem. I quickly went online and try to contact them. Surprisingly there's not phone # to call. There's only Live Chat and E-mail. Live Chat waiting over 15 mins to get a person response to my question.
I told them my situation and they said they unable to refund the money. They only refund to my name cheap account. This is rediculous. LuckyRegister and Godaddy always refund me when i made a mistake with the domain within 5 days no questions ask.
Name cheap is very unprofessional in the field. They seems like a 1 person running and nice website layout to fool unsuspecious customers. They can't even afford phone support. They will charge you $0.99 for each refund to accound with them not to your credit card. This mean, you can only use the [read more...]

😠 Dear all
05/17/2009 I made order 2 domains on namechaep.com
After I made order 2 domains, 1stclickandbuy.com and 1stclickandbuy.net on your system I made Whois and domain unavailable for register (Of course) But today when I login to my account I still see 2 domains above listing on my account but I can't do anything with 2 domains.
1stclickandbuy.com and 1stclickandbuy.net I register and I will transfer to my client with total price is $9500.
I tried to contact to namechaep.com at Support, but they ONLY refund money to my account at namechaep.com and do nothing.
This is email from them
Dear Pham,
To my great regret I must inform you that there was an error in our system so your order was not successful and the domain names in question failed to be registered with us, $17.62 were refunded to your Namecheap account. Today when we were going to proceed with the registrations of the domain names we were unhappy to find out that today those domain names were registered [read more...]
