😠 They are scammer. Stay away. Prices are too high. With this basic price you get at least 3 years of service and much beter features. Also support service is disgusting.

With plans designed for marketers, small businesses and developers, Pantheon runs on cutting-edge technology.
They operate on WebOps platform which is indicated for WordPress or Drupal websites (for performance, security and reliability). Due to this platform, customers can access a flexible infrastructure operating on high speed. You can watch a demo on how this functions.
In July 2021, they have improved their platform by investing in a $100 million Series E from SoftBankVision Fund 2.
They offer the following array of web hosting solutions:
- Cloud Hosting;
- WordPress Hosting;
- Drupal Hosting;
You can choose from basic, high performance and elite cloud plans. All cloud servers based on SSD drives that have CDN integrated, HTTPS included and SSL enabled. At the same time, you get both manual and automated backups, custom domains and app containers.
💰 Price & Cost
Prices are rather high when compared to other hosting providers. Billing is made monthly or annually based on the customers’ preferences.
The good news is that customers have the possibility to try the services provided by Pantheon for free and payment is made when or if the customer’s website goes online. The disadvantage is that they do not offer a refund policy.

Pantheon promises the standard 99.99% server uptime which is the guarantee that your website is unlikely to experience outages.

WordPress Budgets for Many Agencies Projected to go up in 2016 - A survey done by Pantheon revealed that many agencies are planning to increase their WordPress project budgets for 2016. This is in response to the growing traffic WordPress sites are receiving.
The survey was done in November 2015 and covered 323 of the WordPress developers in Pantheon's network of 2,000 agencies. They found that over 70% of the agencies they surveyed expect their WordPress site traffic to grow this year.

I have moved my WP site to them after maintaining my own VPS because I wanted piece of mind and lost already to much time being a server admin rather then getting stuff done.
Good things first:
1. That git system can actually be very useful to stage and test a site properly and risk free.
2. Have not done any benchmarks but I assume their servers and caching system is solid. I have actually used some latency and page loads tests on their main site before signing up and their site was faster then many others to I figured the sites they host may be like this maybe even on the the systems.
3. Automatic backups for all this environments (I personally only have setup live but still something positive to have)
The bad:
1. Their system is VERY specialized and you can not expect plugins to work, more on that later.
2. Get this: Their $25 per month lowest plan claims to have 256MB of application memory. But guess what your WordPress install has [read more...]
