No complaints at all. Excellent service and excellent people.

I've been an OLM customer for over a decade. Over that time, I've suffered a number of glitches, big and little, but in past years OLM was sufficiently responsive and effective at repairs that I stayed with them.
This time, my site quietly went non-functional the evening of Wed, Jan 22, 2020, and did not return until sometime late on Sun, Jan 26. Over this time, I repeatedly turned in service tickets, left messages, and did everything possible to report the outage and obtain an ETA. I even called the corporate offices. THEY DIDN'T ANSWER THE PHONES DURING THIS PERIOD!!! No feedback. I tried to find out if they were bankrupt or shut down without warning as that was the only plausible answer when none of the phones are being answered, and no messages returned.
I'm hunting for a new provider, one I can trust.

I used OLM from CT for many years but suddenly I can't get my email. They said they lost thier license or trying to get one. (I don't understand) I have to switch over to another host company. They don't answer calls, you have to leave a message and they haven't responded back.

😞 Their annoying reliance on faxes to update billing information is enraging! Who uses fax machines anymore?! I was a customer of theirs for 10 years but left them over this issue. Good riddance.

😞 Olm.net provided basic hosting at a basic price, which is why I gave them a 5 on features and cost. Nothing you can't get a million other places. However, the eventual deal-breaker was olm.net's billing system.
Olm.net's billing works this way. The email you an invoice, and you're supposed to print it out, fill it out with your credit card number, and fax it back. Or your could snail mail it with a check. But they would not do automatic recurring billing. They said they weren't "set up for that." Criminey, this isn't 1984, for crying out loud.
Because I started hosting my various sites at different dates, it seemed I was getting some quarterly invoice or the other just about every month. Worse, there's no way to view your balance or your payment transactions online, so I was always wondering if this or that invoice was paid.
So I left and went with a host that does offer recurring billing. I have probably a dozen internet sites, services, subscriptions, etc., and they're all [read more...]

😠 I had up to 5 web sites with them at one time. Tech support did not live up to my expectations. They frequently asked me to upgrade the service rather than address my concerns. The apps are not current (ex. WordPress was about 6 dot releases old).
The billing department dropped the ball on my last and final hosting cancellation with them so now I owe them for another quarter due to their mistake!
You can get better service and features and lower price from GoDaddy hosting. Avoid OLM.

😞 OLM in the beginning was great. It's getting worse as time goes by. Our site is down for 30 min just about everyday. By the time it's back up, tech support said to try agin in a while? Support can take up to 48 hrs plus in some cases. I'm thinking about moving to another host soon!

😞 Our company has hosted with OLM.net for over 6 years and each year that has passed especially the last 3, have been terrible!
