📄 Editorial Review

🔃 Neustar is part of Godaddy
(3*) 🔧 Services: Domain Registration
⇔ Redirected domains: registry.neustar neustar.biz team.neustar ultradns.biz ultradns.com ultradns.net ultradns.org🔃 Selling only to resellers
home.neustar is now best understood as a dormant / inactive Neustar legacy web presence, not as an active web hosting company. The domain still has limited value for legacy access, historical references and older Neustar service paths, but it no longer works as a normal hosting provider website where customers can buy shared hosting, VPS, dedicated servers, reseller hosting or standard domain-hosting packages.

Neustar was founded in 1998 and became known as a major infrastructure and data company, especially in telecom numbering, registry services, DNS, identity resolution, fraud prevention, marketing intelligence and real-time data services. It had a much deeper role in internet and communications infrastructure than a typical retail hosting company.

The most relevant hosting-related part of Neustar was its registry and DNS infrastructure business. This division was acquired by GoDaddy in 2020 and became GoDaddy Registry. That is why registry.godaddy is the correct modern destination for the former Neustar Registry activity. This included backend registry services for important TLDs such as .biz, .us, .co, .in, .nyc and many other domain extensions.

The remaining Neustar business later became part of TransUnion. TransUnion completed its acquisition of Neustar on December 1, 2021, in a transaction valued at around $3.1 billion. Since then, Neustar’s identity, fraud, marketing and communications capabilities have been integrated into TransUnion’s wider business-solutions portfolio.

For web hosting classification, home.neustar should therefore be listed as inactive / dormant. Its legacy is important, but it is no longer a useful destination for ordinary hosting customers. Its strongest historical role was connected to Domains, Registry DNS, TLD backend services, domain registry operations, identity services, communications data, fraud protection and enterprise data intelligence, not to classic cPanel-style website hosting.

💰 Price & Cost

home.neustar did not operate as a retail hosting shop with standard public hosting plans. There were no typical shared hosting, VPS, dedicated server, cloud hosting or reseller hosting prices connected to the inactive Neustar web presence.

The registry business that moved to GoDaddy Registry remained a B2B infrastructure activity. Pricing depended on the TLD, registry contract, DNS requirements, abuse monitoring, compliance needs, technical scale and service-level expectations. This was closer to enterprise registry outsourcing than normal low-cost web hosting.

🏢 Data Center

The Neustar hosting-related legacy was mainly at the registry, DNS and internet infrastructure layer. Its value came from reliability, global DNS reach, registry backend experience and security capabilities rather than from customer-selectable hosting server locations.

Through GoDaddy Registry, the former Neustar Registry activity continued as infrastructure for TLD operators, brand registries, city TLDs and country-code domain projects. The Registry DNS platform uses a global DNS footprint with large-scale DDoS protection and high-availability architecture designed for critical domain operations.

This makes Neustar’s former registry business relevant for domain infrastructure, but not directly comparable with a shared hosting company offering customer hosting accounts in specific data-center locations.

✍️ Customer Support

Support for home.neustar became limited to legacy Neustar access points and redirected business functions. Customers connected to former Neustar identity, marketing, fraud or communications products moved into the TransUnion environment.

Registry-related customers moved toward GoDaddy Registry, where support is handled through enterprise and registry-level relationships. This is very different from a normal hosting support desk with live chat, migration help, shared hosting troubleshooting or cPanel account assistance.

🔨 Control Panel

home.neustar did not provide a standard hosting control panel such as cPanel, Plesk or DirectAdmin. Its access model was tied to specialized Neustar-era platforms and business portals.

For the registry side, operational access moved into the GoDaddy Registry ecosystem. For the data, fraud, marketing and communications side, access became part of the TransUnion business platform environment. This makes the old Neustar control-panel structure specialized and unsuitable for ordinary hosting customers.

🎯 Conclusion

home.neustar should be treated as an inactive / dormant hosting-related profile. It has historical value because Neustar played an important role in telecom numbering, domain registry infrastructure, DNS services, identity resolution, fraud prevention and enterprise data intelligence.

The actual business moved in two directions. The registry and DNS infrastructure division became GoDaddy Registry after the 2020 acquisition, while the identity, marketing, fraud and communications business became part of TransUnion after the acquisition completed on December 1, 2021.

For modern hosting users, home.neustar is not a recommended destination because it does not offer active shared hosting, VPS, dedicated servers, reseller hosting or regular web hosting plans. Its realistic value today is historical and infrastructural: important for understanding the Neustar legacy, but inactive as a web hosting provider.
