Timewarp IT Consulting GmbH is a Vienna-based cloud and infrastructure provider that positions itself clearly in the professional and enterprise segment rather than in classic low-cost shared hosting. Founded in 2005 in Vienna by Michael Pambalk-Rieger, the company is owner-managed, employs several dozen specialists and serves several hundred customers in areas such as server housing, cloud hosting, Microsoft consulting, software development and various "as a Service" offerings. Their stated mission is to make customers’ IT lives easier by delivering tailored, climate-neutral services that support digital transformation and strict compliance requirements.

The portfolio is built around cloud services rather than simple web hosting. Under "Cloud Server" they offer virtual servers (cloud VPS), server pools and GPU servers. Standard cloud servers come with configurable CPU, RAM and NVMe/SSD storage and are hosted in Austrian data centers, with availability options from 99.9% up to 99.99%. Customers can choose between individual cloud servers (e.g. Cloud Server 8.0, 16.0, 32.0, 64.0) and larger Hyper-V or VMware server pools aimed at companies that want to consolidate many workloads into one virtualized environment. All variants are presented as "Backup-DR ready", with mirroring to a second data center for higher resilience.

On top of this, Timewarp runs a dedicated GPU cloud based on NVIDIA A100 Tensor Core GPUs and AMD EPYC processors. GPU resources are offered either as shared containers billed per minute or as dedicated GPU servers with fixed monthly pricing, targeting workloads such as machine learning, data analytics, CAD/virtual desktops, simulations and AI/ML projects. Root servers (dedicated hardware) are also available for customers who want full control over their physical server environment while still benefiting from Timewarp’s data center and networking infrastructure.

Beyond compute, Timewarp has a strong focus on cloud storage and data protection. They provide backup and disaster-recovery services, S3-compatible object storage "from Austria", legally compliant email archiving based on MailStore SPE, and secure collaboration tools such as Nextcloud and a ShareBox filesharing service. These solutions are clearly aimed at companies that must meet GDPR and GoBD requirements, maintain long-term archives and handle sensitive data.

The Virtual Datacenter (VDC) concept is another core building block. Here, Timewarp supplies the hardware and network layer in two TIER III+ data centers in Austria and, for some scenarios, an additional location in Düsseldorf. Customers can build their own virtual data center on VMware or Hyper-V, with hybrid and multi-cloud integration (including AWS/Azure integration) and pay-per-use billing. Managed services around security, monitoring, firewalling, database hosting, Kubernetes as a Service, networking (Anycast, Cloud Connect, Direct Link, VPN, Internet uplinks) and disaster recovery allow IT teams to offload day-to-day operations.

In the colocation segment, Timewarp offers rack-based server housing in highly secure data centers. Packages range from half racks to multiple racks, including uplinks, IP ranges and power allocations, and can be combined with hybrid cloud or VDC setups. The colocation offer is clearly framed for customers who want to house their own hardware in facilities built according to high tier standards, while still being able to scale into Timewarp’s own cloud.

Timewarp’s positioning is very clear: they are not a mass-market shared-hosting brand for basic websites, but a cloud and colocation provider for mid-sized and larger organizations that need high availability, strong SLAs, compliance with European data protection law and direct access to engineers rather than call-center-style support.
