*📜 Plan description
Large SSD-backed VPS delivering 32 GB RAM, 480 GB SSD storage, 8 vCPU and 16 TB/mo outbound transfer. Lowest monthly equivalent is $11.08/mo from $133/year on a 3-year term. Dedicated IPv4 + free IPv6 are included with instant builds and full root. A balanced option for heavier WordPress, staging clusters, medium databases or parallel builders when you want bigger disks without stepping up to NVMe.
All SSD Nodes VPS plans run on KVM virtualization with enterprise hardware (Intel Xeon Silver/Gold CPUs, RAID-10 arrays and NVMe on performance tiers), multi-10 Gbps networking and DDoS filtering. Service is self-managed with 24×7 ticket/email support. Snapshot add-on is available (provider notes snapshots aren’t a substitute for verified backups). Global regions include US (Seattle, Los Angeles, Dallas, Chicago, Atlanta, New York), UK (London), NL (Amsterdam), DE (Frankfurt), IN (Mumbai), SG (Singapore), JP (Tokyo), AU (Sydney) and CA (Toronto). A 14-day money-back window is offered for new VPS purchases, and the SLA states 100% uptime for public network, power and HVAC. Prices are tax-exclusive and the best rates require longer billing cycles.

📄 Editorial Review
SSD Nodes is a U.S. cloud hosting provider operated by Strasmore, Inc., a privately held company headquartered in Tustin, California. The business was founded in 2011 by Matt Connor, who has remained closely associated with both SSD Nodes and parent company Strasmore. Its specialization is inexpensive, self-managed virtual infrastructure rather than traditional all-in-one web hosting. The core product is Linux VPS hosting based on KVM virtualization. SSD Nodes is best suited to developers, system administrators, agencies, SaaS projects and technically experienced businesses that want full control of their server environment. Root access, SSH administration and flexible Linux deployment make the platform practical for custom web stacks, databases, Docker workloads, APIs, development servers, monitoring platforms and private applications.
The VPS portfolio is centered on Standard VPS, Performance VPS and Business VPS configurations. Infrastructure uses enterprise Intel processors, SSD or NVMe storage, RAID 10 and ECC memory. SSD Nodes also uses its own virtualization technology, Vippy, currently in version 7, alongside KVM to manage compute and storage resources across its server platform.
Available Linux distributions include Ubuntu, Debian, CentOS, Fedora, AlmaLinux and Rocky Linux. New VPS instances are generally provisioned within 2 to 5 minutes after successful payment, giving customers a usable root-access server without a lengthy manual activation process.
One-click applications simplify common deployments. Available software includes WordPress, Webmin, Nextcloud, phpMyAdmin and Zabbix, among other server and monitoring applications. This does not turn the service into managed hosting, but it can reduce the initial configuration work for customers who already understand Linux administration.
The NVMe VPS range is particularly suitable for databases, dynamic websites, e-commerce, development environments and other workloads where storage latency matters. Enterprise NVMe hardware includes components from WD Gold, Micron and Intel, while RAID 10 provides additional performance and storage redundancy at the host level.
Nested Virtualization VPS is available for users who need virtualization inside their VPS. This can accommodate development laboratories, CI/CD environments, nested KVM deployments, emulator workloads and other specialized testing scenarios. It offers considerably more flexibility than a conventional budget VPS, although nested virtualization naturally introduces additional overhead compared with running applications directly on the primary virtual machine.
The Gaming VPS range uses the same high-performance virtual infrastructure for custom multiplayer servers. Full administrative access allows customers to configure their own software, mods and server settings, while NVMe storage and DDoS filtering are useful for workloads that depend on low-latency disk and network performance.
SSD Nodes also offers OpenClaw VPS Hosting, providing a clean Linux VPS suitable for running OpenClaw. It remains a self-managed environment, so installation, application maintenance and server security remain under the customer's control.
The higher-end Business VPS combines 12 Intel Silver vCPUs, 72 GB RAM and 1.8 TB NVMe storage with a dedicated IPv4 address, IPv6, firewall controls, API access, on-demand snapshots, automated daily snapshots retained for seven days and priority support. It is a more appropriate option for production workloads where higher capacity, recovery points and faster support handling are important.
Snapshots are useful for quick recovery, but they should not replace an independent backup strategy. Customers remain responsible for maintaining their own data and backups, so important workloads should also be copied to storage outside the VPS environment.
The service portfolio extends beyond virtual servers. Domain Registration includes DNS-zone management, renewals, DNSSEC, reverse DNS and bulk-management functions. Standard records such as A, AAAA, CNAME, MX and TXT can be managed through the account interface.
SSL Certificates are available in standard single-domain and Wildcard versions. The certificates use 256-bit encryption with 2048-bit signature keys, giving VPS customers the option to purchase server infrastructure, domains and commercial SSL products within the same account.
Automation is available through the VPS API. It supports server start, stop and restart operations, operating-system reinstallations, one-click application deployment, snapshots and other VPS management tasks. This is particularly useful for customers operating multiple servers or integrating SSD Nodes into their own provisioning and administration workflow.
The service is primarily aimed at an English-speaking market, with English used for the customer interface, documentation, contractual information and support. Prices are displayed mainly in U.S. dollars (USD). The website and account experience are modern and well suited to desktop and mobile use.

😁 I booked servers and adding servers with SSDNodes
We migrated almost all of our servers into SSDNodes one by one starting from Sep. 2019.
The performance of their NVMe Servers are great.
We use 48GB and 32GB NVMe Servers.
Best value for money (undisputed).
Good customer support with in a reasonable duration of time.
The support team is responsive and ALSO the Founder / CEO responds to customers directly.
Down time is very rare and only when they were upgrading the whole platform to improve the performance of ALL the servers within.

😠 Generally with VPS services you get what you pay for, but in this case you get less.
Pricing seems good and the service is always stable for a couple weeks, but after the 14 day refund period things deteriorate quickly and you're stuck.
Performance becomes so bad you can barely keep an SSH connection alive to do anything, and http timeouts occur frequently even with static content.
I've had multiple servers with SSD Nodes, thinking "I don't need anything fancy and this is cheap", but always end up disappointed, feeling like an idiot falling for their (sketchy infinite-sale) marketing again, and moving to another host.
