📅 November 7, 2003 - RackMy.com, a provider of Web hosting, colocation and business continuity solutions based in St. Louis, Missouri, announced earlier this week that it has changed its name to Xiolink (xiolink.com), saying it had "simply outgrown its original name."

The new branding came into effect on November 1, 2003.
According to the company, the growth and vision of the company were key motivators for the name change. Xiolink reported three consecutive quarters of triple digit growth and has acquired expanded facilities to accommodate the increased demand. The company said the new name would communicate the full spectrum of services Xiolink is offering and establish Xiolink as a respected brand in data hosting services.
In a message posted on its Web site, the company said the RackMy.com brand would be preserved until further notice. "We will maintain the RackMy.com identity on our Web site while our customers become acquainted with the new name, and understand that the name change does not alter our service agreements, or the management of our company in any way."
The new brand is the first step in positioning the company for continued growth, the company said.
