📅 February 3, 2004 - E-commerce outsourcing provider Digital River (digitalriver.com) announced today that it has signed an agreement to add SoftwareDownloadStore.net to its Channel Partner Program.

Under the agreement, SoftwareDownloadStore.net will market and sell Digital River's downloadable software library through its online store, while Digital River providesing SoftwareDownloadStore.net with fraud prevention, customer service and e-marketing services.
Digital River said the partnership will allow SoftwareDownloadStore.net to offer customers a collection of brand-name titles for immediate purchase and download.
"The software library we've amassed includes thousands of the most popular titles on the market today. By finding new channels of online distribution for this library through retailers, content publishers, and portal and download sites, we can increase exposure for the software publishers whose titles we represent and at the same time offer our network partners an extremely efficient, low-risk business opportunity," said Dave Alampi, vice president of marketing at Digital River. "Instead of establishing individual relationships with thousands of publishers, our partners build one relationship with Digital River to access an extensive, pre-established collection of software titles that they can market and sell via their online stores. As a result, they can offer their customers more choice, more convenience and more reasons to visit their sites."
