📅 - Managed Web hosting provider Nacio (nacio.com) announced on Tuesday that it has launched TeraSafe Digital Vault, an automated service that electronically replicates data to a remote offsite location on a nightly basis. The backed-up data can then be retrieved through a secure FTP connection.
Nacio said that the service allows businesses to protect and back-up their data, serving as a disaster recovery solution, with the added benefit of expanding local storage capacity. Vince Conroy, chief technical officer for Nacio, said the service, designed for small and medium-sized businesses, was developed to meet customer concerns about having uninterrupted access to their data. "Many companies realize they need offsite data vaulting as part of their backup and disaster-recovery plans, but few small and mid-sized companies can afford the cost, or it's just too much trouble," says Conroy. "We took a fresh look at the problem and developed TeraSafe Data Vault in response to what customers really need. Best of all, its simple and affordable."
