👈 Official Responses: 0) announced on Thursday it has launched a new quad core processor technology from Intel. The packages start at $249 for dual core single processor servers and up to $499 for quad processor servers.


The new processor has four physical cores on the same chip, and delivers extra speed and power compared to single core or dual versions. The enhancement enables businesses to reduce application costs based upon physical CPU count. MaximumASP is also providing enterprise class 64-bit operating systems.

"We wanted to offer our customers the performance value that comes with the quad core servers without increasing the price structure," says Silas Boyle, managing partner of sales at MaximumASP.

The new quad core processor enables customers to further consolidate Web applications onto a smaller number of physical servers and use machines with large amounts of RAM and hard drive space. The new processor also enables users to reduce the number of overall processors that require separate software licenses, enabling many new and existing clients to reduce their total cost of ownership.

MaximumASP announced last month it selected telecommunications carrier Global Crossing as a third Tier 1 bandwidth provider to deliver high bandwidth availability and rapid response times.
