📅 - Network-neutral data center and Internet exchange services provider Equinix (equinix.com) announced on Wednesday that Hong Kong-based Web hosting firm I-Cyberhk Technology Company (i-cyberhk.com) will deploy the company's IT operations within Equinix's Hong Kong Internet Business Exchange.
Previously located in Hutchinson Global Center, I-Cyberhk decided to relocate the network within Equinix's Hong Kong facility to take advantage of its security, environmental and physical infrastructure and service. Equinix says its enterprise level support and strict service level agreements will help I-Cyberhk attract higher quality customers. I-Cyberhk offers a complete range of services including hosting, programming and Web design to more than 4,000 small to medium sized companies in the Asia Pacific. I-Cyberhk's promotion of providing one free month of service to customers should uptime fall below 98 percent allows for a very low threshold for outages and downtime. It is this need for a reliable network and data center infrastructure why I-Cyberhk chose Equinix's service, I-Cyberhk says. "Due to the success of our services, we were in need of high-performance and high-availability bandwidth options as well as a robust physical infrastructure that can scale to accommodate our growing demand for additional data centre space," says Elec Ho, managing director of I-Cyberhk. "By deploying into Equinix's Hong Kong centre, I-Cyberhk can differentiate itself from other Web hosting providers by offering higher levels of uptime, as well as service level agreements for temperature, humidity and power which are not common in the IDC market."
