📅 - Level 3 Communications, Inc. (level3.com) announced that it has signed a new multi-year, multi-million dollar agreement with Yahoo! (yahoo.com)further extending their relationship in North America. Under the terms ofthis new agreement, Yahoo! will use Level 3's "(3)CrossRoads" Internetaccess service for delivery of its digital content and streamingapplications. This includes the core Yahoo! services, Yahoo! Broadcast, andYahoo! Finance Vision. "We are extremely pleased to expand our relationship with Yahoo!" said KevinJ. O'Hara, president and COO for Level 3. "We have consistently positionedthe Level 3 network as unique in its ability to meet the needs of leadingcustomers like Yahoo!, not just in terms of lower cost but also in qualityof service. 📅 - 1and1 Fourth Largest US Web Host - Web hosting company 1&1 Internet (1and1.com) announced on Thursday it has surpassed competitor Yahoo (yahoo.com) to become the fourth largest US web host based on WebHosting.Info's (www.webhosting.info) domain rankings.
1&1 has grown considerably since it launched its US operations about five years ago with over 700,000 US customers to date.
According to WebHosting.Info's research, 1&1 currently has 3.7098 percent of the domain market share with 2,491,508 domains.
