Dec 20, 2005 : Web Host SiteSouth Releases MasterIP

📅 December 20, 2005 - Web hosting and colocation provider SiteSouth (sitesouth.com -> ionos.com) announced on Monday that it had released MasterIP (masterip.com), a Web-based IP and device management solution designed to help Web hosts configure, automate, integrate and administer across any network.

The company says MasterIP reduces the administrative burden associated with IP address and host device data management. Remote access enables real time updates to the data.

Michael George, president of SiteSouth, says based on the company's experience as a Web host, there had to be a better way to manage the several thousand devices in data centers, considering all the insufficient solutions that currently exist.

"Now Web hosting companies and network administrators can better manage their inventories as simply as logging in to their own Web site," says George. "You won't have issues such as assigning the same IP to multiple devices or users or keeping track of upgrades to a serve build. Changes to data such as reassigning port information on routers, switches and vlans are now very simple."
