📅 - Web hosting provider SmartyHost (smartyhost.com.au -> netregistry.com.au) announced on Thursday that it has secured the number two position in the Australian Web hosting market.
Last July, the SmartyHost entered the top three Australian Web hosting companies and has since then grown rapidly, with more than 25,000 customers under its belt. The new customers exemplify SmartyHost's key target markets of online resellers, small and medium businesses, and private users.
"We've added new tailor made solutions on a monthly basis this year, each designed specifically for customers in our different target markets, our growth reflects that these solutions satisfy the needs of our customers," says Anoosh Manzoori, managing director for SmartyHost. "Most of our technology is built in house by our experienced development team and based on open source software, so when we identify a need from any of our customers, we can develop a solution for it quickly and at a lower price than other hosting companies."
SmartyHost's 'white label' reseller solution successfully drew in several key online resellers in March and April 2006. This application service provider solution can be customized to any reseller, enabling it to add hosting and domain name registration to its online services for free, and brand it as its own. To ensure maximum performance for its customers SmartyHost has chosen to host all its customers in Optus's data center.
