📅 - Equinix is committing another $50 million to its corporate foundation, doubling the data center operator's total funding since the nonprofit launched in 2022. The money will support internet access, digital skills and technical workforce programs across global markets, as Equinix tries to address a growing tension: infrastructure expansion is outpacing the communities and labor pipelines around it.
The commitment is philanthropic, not data center capex. Still, it lands close to a commercial problem for Equinix and the broader infrastructure sector.
