📅 - CoolIT Systems has developed a 15kW coldplate for AI accelerators, saying single-phase direct liquid cooling can handle future GPU heat loads as chipmakers drive power density higher. The validation puts a sharper technical marker in the race to cool AI factories, where thermal design is becoming as strategic as compute procurement for operators and hyperscalers now globally.
The company says the coldplate delivers nearly four times the performance of its earlier 4kW design announced in March 2025 and more than ten times the cooling capacity required by current-generation AI GPUs. That is a big claim. Also a useful signal of where the infrastructure market is heading.
