AWS and SSAB Partner to Build Data Centers with Fossil-Free Steel
📅 - Amazon Web Services (AWS) has taken a significant step toward its goal of achieving net-zero carbon emissions by 2040 through a pioneering collaboration with SSAB, a leader in sustainable steel production. The partnership will bring fossil-free steel, produced using SSABs HYBRIT technology, into the construction of AWSs new data centers in Sweden, setting a new benchmark for decarbonized infrastructure.
In Swedens Mlardalen region, AWS is constructing three state-of-the-art data centers.
