Oct 26, 2006 : Freeparking Boosts Email Offering

📅 October 26, 2006 - Domain registrar Freeparking (freeparking.co.uk -> fasthosts.co.uk) announced on Wednesday it has increased the free POP3 accounts it provides from 2 to 20, including automatic anti-virus scanning on incoming and outgoing email and Webmail.


Freeparking says it is also halving the prices of its premium, premium plus and enterprise POP3 email accounts. The company says that, unlike many other companies, it fully supports the use of SMTP on all its POP3 accounts.

"It was clear to us that customers rely on Freeparking as the home for their domains, where they manage every aspect, and more and more are now using Freeparking to handle their email," says Dickie Armour, general manager of Freeparking's European partner Fibranet Services. "We want to ensure the Freeparking customers have access to the services they need and just one of the ways Freeparking has done this is by increasing the number of free POP3 accounts to 20."

Established about seven years ago, Freeparking is an ICANN accredited domain name registrar, managing over 300,000 domain names for customers in over 180 countries.
