📅 December 17, 2007 - UK domain registrar Freeparking (freeparking.co.uk -> fasthosts.co.uk) announced on Monday it has launched its new hosting service, Host@Freeparking (host.freeparking.co.uk). The hosting service is priced at £1.99 a month and offers Freeparking customers 500MB of Web space and 1GB of bandwidth, as well as a control panel, a 60-day trial and guaranteed 100 percent uptime.


"Freeparking has developed a huge base of loyal customers and it makes complete sense to offer them state-of-the-art hosting at the right price," says Paul Lomax, CTO of Freeparking's European partner Fibranet Services. "But it was also important to be able to offer all the extras too. Now Freeparking customers can have hosting with SQL server, stats, and every site comes with easy to use bandwidth and Web space monitoring tools."

The domain registrar enables customers to choose from their desired feature, adding and removing features at any time. Any credit remaining is credited back to the customer's account. All domains include 20 POP3 email accounts and free SMTP service for out going email.

Host@Freeparking also announced it has launched a fully managed dedicated server starting at £69.99 per month. The domain name registrar says it is trying to capitalize on the surge in Internet professionals who are taking control of their hosting platforms by renting their own servers.
