Mar, 2017 : Yahoo Hack May have been Russian Spy Agents

📅 March 17, 2017 - Recently, the U.S. Government accused Russia of being behind some of the largest hacking attacks over the past few years. One of the main attacks Russian spy agents were accused of was the Yahoo attack. The government believes the attacks are being used to gather intelligence.

An unsealed indictment against the Russian government appeared in a federal court in San Francisco on Wednesday. It was against two criminal hackers and two Russian FSB security agents. While getting the three that were not arrested extradited from Russia isn't likely, the U.S. has made it clear this cyberactivity won't be tolerated.
