Sep, 2016 : Micro Focus and HPE to Merge Software in Huge Deal


📅 - A deal worth an estimated $8.8 billion has been agreed upon by the HPE CEO Meg Whitman and Micro Focus International Plc of the UK. The deal includes merging the software businesses. HPE will get $2.5 billion in cash and the shareholders will own 50.1% of the merged company when it's all said and done.

This is just one of the many deals Whitman has made since splitting HPE from the sister company HP. They also struck an $8.5 billion deal with Computer Sciences Corp. and have struck many other deals over the past few months.
