Jul, 2016 : US Government Says Microsoft Can’t Protect User Data


📅 - The US government recently ruled that Microsoft Corporation customers don't have a right to know when governmental agencies intercept email. Microsoft filed a lawsuit earlier this year alleging that their customers have a constitutional right to know when and if the government seizes or searches their property.

The government said in a court filing that the lawsuit should be thrown out because the law enables them to intercept electronic communications without a warrant or disclosure – if it would endanger an individual or investigation.
