📅 - It's nearly here and many internet giants are going to play a high stakes game for the .web top level domain extension. Google, Web.com, Afilias, United Internet and a few other companies will be bidding in real time for the .web TLD on July 27th. The auction will be conducted by ICANN.
The winner of the auction will have the right to sell the .web TLD. This may be one of the hottest new TLDs and some believe it will be the new .com. It's easy to remembers, short and many already use “web” as a part of normal dialogue about internet related things.
