Block Storage Launched by DigitalOcean Due to Developer Demand
📅 - DigitalOcean has recently launched block storage to add flexibility to their products for developers. The demand for this type of storage from developers has caused the new product launch. The company is providing highly available SSD disk space for developers now.
The Block Storage will cost $0.10 per GB each month on a provisional capacity basis. Volumes ranging from 1GB to 16TB can be moved, stored and from Droplets over isolated networks.

📅 - Microsoft to Launch Azure Stack by Mid-2017 - In an announcement that came on Tuesday at WPC 2016, Microsoft said it “will prioritize delivering Azure Stack to customers via these systems at launch, which is expected in mid-2017.” The systems referred to in the quote are Dell, HPE, and Lenovo, who will deliver pre-configured Azure Stack systems in an effort to speed the process of implementing Azure Stack in data centers.

📅 - IBM and Telcom PTCL Become Partners on Public Cloud - Pakistan Telecommunications Company Limited or PTCL and IBM Italia S.p.A. have partnered to launch a new public cloud service in Pakistan. The companies will use the new offering to target corporate customers and will offer many additional services through the IBM cloud platform.
PTCL is headquartered in Islamabad, Pakistan and has been known as the largest converged services carrier in the country. They offer many services including video-conferencing, internet access and more. The two companies together will be able to offer a turnkey solution developed by IBM and available through the PTCL data centers in Karachi and Lahore.

📅 - Facebook Likes Office 365 and Other Cloud News from Microsoft - Facebook CIO Tim Campos made a guest appearance recently at the Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference 2016 as a keynote speaker. He talked about the 13,000 Facebook employees across the globe using Office 365 to collaborate and communicate. It was clear, he likes Office 365.
