📅 - According to a recent report by 451 Research, ‘Voice of the Enterprise,' traditional, on-site data storage is on the way out and spending on cloud storage is projected to double by 2017. On-site storage spending is expected to dip from 70% in 2015 to 58% in 2017.
This report highlighted the ways storage will change in the coming years and also revealed that 70% of respondents expect to increase their storage spending in the next year. Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure are expected to become part of the top 5 storage vendors by 2017.
