Blockbuster Deal Closed by Equinix to Acquire TelecityGroup
📅 - Equinix recently closed the deal to acquire the European data center services company TelecityGroup. TelecityGroup is one of the largest data center service providers in all of Europe.
The deal closed for an estimated $3.8 billion. Equinix is based in Redwood City, California and estimates the deal will increase their portfolio by about 30%. They will be adding 34 new data centers and another eight facilities as another part of the deal. .
